 Sides: Where Visibility Meets Strategy

Now that you’ve got the hang of Appetizers-priming the pump in 15 minutes or less-it’s time to move on to your
Sides:
 👉 Content & Visibility.
This is the part of your DMO where we stop consuming and start creating.
But before you start stressing about being clever or cute online, hear me loud and clear:
 Done is better than perfect.
If you’ve got 30 minutes and only 5 of them to make a post-make the post.
Your business grows from consistency, not perfection.

Let’s Be Clear: Content Isn’t the Goal-It’s the Tool

Content is how we:
  • Show up

  • Build trust

  • Stay top of mind

But it’s not the end goal. Conversations are.
That’s why we post with purpose-to get people responding, engaging, and eventually talking in Messenger.

The 3 Purposes of Your Content

Every post should help you do at least one of these:
  1. Grow – Reach new people

  2. Nurture – Build trust with your audience

  3. Convert – Lead someone toward checking out your business or offer

You don’t need to make separate posts for each one. One good post can hit all three with the right structure.

Your Personal 5 Content Buckets

To make posting easier and more authentic, I want you to define 5 content buckets-themes you’ll post about that fit your life and make it easy for people to connect with you.  Side Note:  These are good FB groups to join too because they represent what you are already interested
These are mine:
  • ✈️ Travel

  • 👩‍🏫 Retired teacher life

  • 📚 Bookworm energy

  • ☕ Confidence/mindset

  • 😂 Everyday chaos

👉 The best part? Any of these buckets can Grow, Nurture, or Convert—depending on how you use them.

✅ Today’s Task:

  1. Appetizers – Prime the pump (set your 10–15 min timer!)

  2. 1 IPA – Take one intentional income-producing action - there is an amazing opportunity meeting this weekend - I'll get the information to you.

  3. Drop your 5 content buckets in our group post for today

Let’s get strategic and stay human. That’s how we grow with heart. 💛

Let’s Talk Birthdays – The Ultimate Appetizer

Birthdays are one of the best (and most underused) ways to connect with your full friends list.

Here’s why they work:
✅ They give you a reason to start a convo
✅ You’re showing up with heart, not hype
✅ You can pivot naturally into travel or business talk—when it makes sense

Birthday Basics:

Go to Friends > Birthdays on Facebook.
 You’ll see:
  • Today’s birthdays

  • Recent birthdays (yes, you can still message them!)

  • Upcoming birthdays (schedule a note early—talk about thoughtful!)

When you wish someone a happy birthday:
  1. Post on their wall (the quick and visible touch)

  2. Send a message in Messenger (this is where the gold is)

5 Examples of Birthday Messages with a Travel Pivot:

"Happy birthday! 🎉 I hope you’re planning something special—maybe a little getaway? I always say birthdays are the perfect excuse to travel!"

"Wishing you the best birthday ever! If you could go anywhere to celebrate, where would you go? I’m making a dream travel list for fun!"

"Hope your day is filled with all the things you love!  Do you have any big birthday plans this year—like maybe a trip?

"Happy Birthday!  You deserve a relaxing vacation. If you ever want ideas (or insider travel perks 😉), I’m your girl!"

"Celebrating YOU today! Curious-if someone gifted you a trip anywhere in the world, where are you headed? I love hearing people’s travel dreams!"
These aren’t pitches. They’re door openers. You’re building conversation, not closing a deal. Let it flow naturally.

⏱️ Today’s Task: Speed Dating

Set your timer for 15 minutes.
Complete as many appetizers as you can-but start with birthdays (our newest appetizer!).

Then move on to at least one IPA.
If you’ve got convos already going-follow up.
Even if it’s not about business. Keep it warm, keep it going. That’s how trust is built and timing aligns.
Post WINsday in our group chat when finished.

Appetizers = Priming the Pump
Appetizers are your daily warm-up.
They wake up the algorithm, get your content seen, and—most importantly—they help you build real relationships.
But listen, this isn’t a scroll session.
Set a timer. ⏱️ You’ve got 15 minutes max. Show up with intention, not distraction.

Why This Matters:

Only about 5–20% of your current audience sees your content.
That means if you’re only engaging with the same circle over and over, they’ll eventually tune out.
You need fresh eyes on what you’re building—and that starts with new relationships.
One of the best tools?

Facebook groups.
They’re full of people who already share your interests—and that’s where connection begins.

✅ Your Daily Appetizer Task:

  1. Comment on at least 3 stories

    • Keep it personal, ask a question, or cheer someone on.

  2. Join or revisit 1–2 Facebook groups

    • Avoid travel groups-they’re oversaturated with agents.

    • Try groups about cooking, books, wellness, parenting, pets, or hobbies you genuinely enjoy.

  3. Spend up to 15 minutes:

    • Reacting to posts

    • Leaving authentic comments

    • Starting casual conversations

🛑 No business talk in public comments. You’re there to build relationships—not pitch.  However, do talk travel - yours, theirs that is the goal.
When a connection feels right, take it to Messenger. That’s where the real magic happens.

Examples:
cooking group:  Does anyone have any good italian recipes?  I have clients that are headed there next month and I wanted to send them some authentic ideas to try at home?

books:  What's your favorite book set in Italy?  I have clients traveling there next month and wanted to suggest some warm up books.

wellness:  Have you all heard of that wellness area in Ischia - I'm wondering if it's a good option to send some clients to

parenting:  Anyone have tips for long haul flights for toddlers?  I have clients travelling next month and wanted to give them some tips.

pets:  What's the best way to take care of pets when people are traveling - I have clients traveling next month and they are struggling to figure this out -

hobbies:  what do you do with your garden when you travel?

I don't specifically ask if they are interested in joining my business - however, I drop the business in every conversation - when they ask, I share what I do or I may state what I do but don't ask them to join me.  When I get a feel for who they are and they have a feel for who I am - I move to messenger and say something casual.  I've been loving this business that I do because..... would you like to learn about it?  We actually have a meeting tonight teaching people about the business.  Would you like attend?    Don't over complicate it - talk like you.

👉 And of course: Complete at least ONE IPA today.

Appetizers set the stage-but it’s the main course that grows your business and everything we do is to get us here.
You’ve got this. Show up. Stay consistent.
Let’s go build something amazing, one real conversation at a time. ✨
Sub headline. Please replace with the text you'd like.

Column 1 filler text. Please replace with your own text.

Run for Bronze – Day 4: Appetizers – Prime the Pump
Hey team!
Let’s change how we look at “Appetizers.”
These aren’t just the first course on your business menu…
They’re the actions that prime the pump—the prep work you do before you ever hit “post.”
Because here’s the deal:
➡️ You don’t just get engagement by throwing content into the void.
➡️ You earn it by showing up in other people’s worlds first.
That means—before you post anything—you’re taking time to comment, respond, and connect.
This not only warms up the algorithm, it warms up your relationships, too.
And if you only have 15 minutes today?
Spend it here. This is the work.

 Why Priming the Pump Matters:

(p.s.) I’ve spent a few hundred dollars in social media classes to learn this skill - prime before post
  • You increase the chance your own content will be seen

  • You build trust and familiarity (you’re not a random in their inbox)

  • You create real momentum—not just noise

✅ Today’s Task:

  1.  Prime the pump

    • React or comment on 3 stories

    • Comment meaningfully on 3 posts

    • Send 3 messages to reconnect or start new convos

  2.  Complete at least 1 IPA from your Main Course list

  3.  Then SHARE  by saying TASK DONE

This part of the work is like stretching before a workout:
You could skip it… but you’ll get better results if you don’t.
Let’s warm things up and get things flowing.
 You’ve got this.
