Pivot Challenge Extension
July 4-13th

Hi Everyone!
We’ve got about 10 days left in our Run for Bronze group-and I want to finish strong. Starting Monday, we’ll kick off a brand new topic, but I really want us to keep pushing on two of the most important habits in this business:

Your DMO (Daily Method of Operation)

And your pivoting skills

So… we’re going to run a 10-Day Contest-and everyone who completes it can win. Yup, you read that right.

This is about showing up, doing the work, and staying consistent. That’s how we build real momentum. And to sweeten the deal? I’ll be giving away some amazing travel-themed prizes, including:

  • A 3-day hotel stay
  • Packing cubes
  • A $500 flight credit
    (and maybe a few surprises!)

HOW TO WIN:

Just show up and post each day for 10 days.
Here’s what you’ll post daily:
  1. What you did for your DMO
  2. Your pivot from that day (what you said or how the convo flowed)
  3. Your pivot count for the day and your 10-day goal
Example: “My goal is 20 pivots in 10 days. Today I did 2. So: 2/20.”

SAMPLE POST:

Day 1
DMO: story/post/reach out/follow up
Pivot: “That’s actually how I got started.”
Pivots: 2/20

Yes, it’s a lot. But that’s why the prizes are good. You’re building habits that grow your business long after this group ends.
Let’s finish like leaders. Let’s do this.

Pivot Challenge
June 28 - July 6, 2025

It’s go time!

THE PIVOT CHALLENGE – ONE A DAY KEEPS FEAR AWAY

You’ve now got the mindset, the skills, the language-and the heart.
Now it’s time to take everything you’ve practiced and put it into real-life conversations.
This is where belief gets bold. Where fear fades. And where results start to show up.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

1 Pivot Per Day. Every Day. For the Next 8 Days (you get a bonus plus day).
That’s it.
Whether it’s in a voice note, a DM, a comment, or a real-life convo at the dog park-just plant a seed once a day using the tools you’ve practiced.
It doesn’t have to lead to a yes.
It doesn’t even have to be perfect.
It just has to be done.

HOW TO TRACK IT - Write this stuff down everyday in a notebook, your calendar or in our chat

  1.  Who it was (friend, coworker, DM, etc.)
  2.  What cue they gave
  3.  What you said to pivot
  4.  How it felt
Example:
“Talked to a friend from yoga who said she’s over her 9–5. I said, ‘That’s exactly why I started this biz—I wanted more options.’ She was super curious!”

Quick Reminders Before You Start:

  • People need what you offer-they just don’t know it yet.
  • You’re not selling. You’re serving.
  • Not everyone will say yes-but every time you show up, you get stronger.
“If you can pivot, you can build. If you can build, you can change lives-including your own. This business is built one conversation at a time. Let’s go create some powerful ones.”
p.s.  don't forget to continue your DMO - this is just part of it - the most important part.

Practice Day

PRACTICE MAKES PROFIT – LET’S ROLEPLAY A LITTLE

We’ve been stacking skills all week:

✅ You’ve got the mindset
✅ You know when to pivot
✅ You’ve got your voice-ready phrases loaded up

Now… let’s practice like we mean it.
Today, I’m giving you 5 sample conversations. These are exactly the kind of moments you’ll run into online, in DMs, at school pickup, or at a BBQ.
Your job? Write how you would pivot the conversation from that comment into your business or travel services.
You don’t need to pitch. You don’t need to close.
Just plant the seed. Practice finding your voice. That’s it.

SCENARIO #1:

“I wish we could take a real vacation, but everything’s just so expensive right now.”
How would you pivot this into a biz or service convo?

SCENARIO #2:

“My job has been draining me lately. I keep thinking there has to be something more.”
Drop your pivot in the comments!

 SCENARIO #3:

“You’re always going somewhere! I wish I could travel like that.”
Perfect chance to pivot. What would YOU say?

SCENARIO #4:

“I’m just tired of the hustle—life is too short to be working this much.”
Now's the moment to share what you’ve found.

SCENARIO #5:

“We’ve been looking at Disney trips, but it’s so overwhelming!”
Use this to pivot into your travel expertise.

Today’s Assignment: Practice 2–3 Scenarios

✅ Choose 2 or more of the above
✅ Drop your 1 pivot response in the comments USING VOICE MESSAGE
✅ Listen to what others said and leave some love or feedback ❤️
The more you see how different voices show up in the pivot, the more you’ll trust your own.

Final Word for Day 4:

“This isn’t about getting it perfect-it’s about getting comfortable showing up with purpose and belief. The best pivots don’t sound rehearsed-they sound like YOU.”
p.s.  to leave a voice message when you are in chat use the little microphone write next to the text box not the one at the bottom of your screen.  Why are we practicing this?  It's more personal!  You are so much more likely to close the deal, make the sale, whatever if people hear your voice than if they read your words.  Practice it today.

Pivot Starters
Wednesday, June 26, 2025
Hey hey, Bronze runners!
So far we’ve:
 Built a strong pivot mindset
Learned to listen for pivot cues + perfect timing
Now it’s time to actually say the words.
But here’s the key: you do NOT need to sound like a robot in a hoodie trying to close a deal.
The best pivot is the one that sounds like you.
So today, I’m giving you a list of 20 conversation pivot starters-but don’t use them all.
Read through and pick 3–5 that sound like something you’d actually say. You can tweak the wording, mix and match, make it your own.

20 PIVOT STARTERS

Use these when someone gives you a cue (travel talk, money talk, burnout, freedom, etc.)
  1. “That’s actually why I started this biz—travel was always out of reach and I got tired of waiting.”
  2. “I know exactly how that feels. That’s what led me here, honestly.”
  3. “Have you ever thought about getting paid to travel?”
  4. “That’s the exact kind of trip I help people plan!”
  5. “Sounds like you’re ready for something different—want to see what I’m doing?”
  6. “You’re so good with people—you’d be amazing at what I do.”
  7. “I started this as a side thing and it’s honestly been the best decision.”
  8. “I work in travel—want me to keep an eye out for deals like that?”
  9. “If I sent you a quick overview of what I do, would you be open to looking at it?”
  10. “I totally get it—that’s why I started building a business that fits my life.”
  11. “That sounds so frustrating. I know a few people who’ve changed everything just by starting this biz.”
  12. “You already love travel. You might love what I do too.”
  13. “I help people book those exact kinds of experiences—want me to put together a few ideas?”
  14. “You deserve a break—let me help you plan it.”
  15. “I’ve got something that could help with that… want me to share?”
  16. “This is actually what I do—help people travel better and earn more freedom.”
  17. “That’s exactly why I said yes to this business. I wanted more options.”
  18. “Funny you mention that…” (then pivot!)
  19. “Honestly, I was feeling the same way until I found this.”
  20. “No pressure, but I think you'd love what I do—if you're curious, I can show you.”

Today’s Assignment: Own Your Voice

✅ Step 1: Pick 3–5 pivot starters that feel like you.
✅ Step 2: Rewrite or tweak them your way—how would you actually say it?
✅ Step 3: Drop your favorites in the comments so we can cheer you on!
BONUS: DM yourself these pivots or save them in your notes so you’re ready in real time.

Barb’s Final Word for Day 3:

“Scripts are training wheels. Your voice is the vehicle. Let’s ride!”

When and How To Pivot
June 25, 2025

WHEN TO PIVOT – LISTEN FOR THE CUES
Hey Guys!
Yesterday we talked about why pivoting is a gift-not a gimmick.
Today, we’re digging into the how and when.
So let’s talk timing and cues.

PIVOT RULE OF THUMB:

You don’t open the convo with your business-you earn the right to share.
That usually happens after 2 to 4 exchanges. Why? Because people don’t want a pitch-they want connection.

LISTEN FOR THESE PIVOT CUES:

These are the magic phrases that tell you someone might be open to hearing about the biz or your travel services:
When they say things like…
  • “I need a vacation.”
  • “We’re trying to save for a trip.”
  • “I wish I had more time with my family.”
  • “I hate my job / I need something new.”
  • “I feel stuck.”
  • “Do you work in travel?”
  • “You’re always going places—I’m jealous!”
That’s your signal: Time to plant a seed.

YOUR TOOLBOX FOR TODAY:

Here are 3 ways to pivot depending on the vibe of the conversation:

  1. The Curious Pivot
“Have you ever looked into ways to get paid when you travel?”
  1. The Relatable Pivot
“That’s actually what got me into this travel biz. I just needed something different.”
  1. The Soft Invite Pivot
“It might not be for you, but if you’re open to taking a peek, I’d love to show you what I do.”

Today’s Assignment: Practice Spotting Cues

✅ Think of one conversation you’ve had where someone dropped one of those cues.
✅ Share it in the comments and write what you could have said to pivot.
(Doesn’t need to be perfect—just practice!)
 Example:
“My coworker said she’s dying for a vacation, but it’s just not in the budget right now.”
I could’ve said: “That’s actually why I started what I’m doing now-I wanted to make travel happen instead of just wishing for it.”

Final Thoughts -

“You’re not interrupting-you’re inviting. Every pivot is a chance to open a new door for someone. Be bold. Be real. Be you.”

Pivot Mindset
Tuesday, June 24th, 2025

We are moving on to focus on our pivoting skills - however, continue to do your DMO full plate or modified menu when necessary everyday.  That is the foundation - now we are fine-tuning.

PIVOT MINDSET TRAINING
Hey team!
This week, we’re diving into how to naturally and confidently pivot everyday conversations into business opportunities without being weird, pushy, or fake.
Let’s get one thing clear right now:
Pivoting is not salesy.
 It’s not a pitch.
It’s a service.

We’re out here listening for people’s pain points, passions, or patterns and then offering a better way. Whether it’s the chance to travel more, earn extra income, or just feel excited again you have something powerful to offer.
But here’s the key: people don’t always say “I want a travel business.” They say…
“I’m exhausted.”
“I need a vacation.”
“I wish I had more time with my kids.”
“We can’t afford that trip right now.”
Those are your pivot points.
When you pivot, you’re planting a seed that could change everything for them.

Today’s Training Assignment: “Notice & Reflect”

  1. Look back at 1–2 conversations you’ve had this past week (online or in real life).
    • Did anyone mention feeling stuck, tired, broke, or overwhelmed?
    • Did travel come up? Dreams? Frustration?
  2. Drop a comment below and share:
“What’s one conversation you had recently where you could have pivoted into your business or service?”
No pressure to be perfect-this is just about building awareness. We’re going to practice how to respond next, but today is all about recognizing the moment.
