Embracing Your Unique Qualities
Confidence is a tricky concept and for most of us is something we have to work on continuously.
Our culture definitely makes us feel like we should be like everyone else but in reality - it's the very part of us that doesn't fit in that makes us unique and special. Our goal is to embrace it - whatever it is - your too loud, too quiet, too tall, too short, too heavy, too thin, too smart, not smart enough, too interested in mice, too interested in books... it's you!
In Network Marketing, your uniqueness is what makes you stand out and it's what will attract others too you. You have a message to share that nobody else can deliver like you. It's not better or worse than how others deliver it - but it's a message that for some they will only hear it coming from someone like you.
Here are some activities that you can choose to do or not or even just not today. The goal here is to get you thinking about how special you are and to give you resources if you want to dive into it further. I do believe investing time in ourselves is incredibly rewarding and helps us grow - these are the vegetables.
Affirmation: I bring unique strengths to my work and community. You can get more specific here too if you want like, "my ability to listen is what others need today."
Mirror Exercise: Look in the mirror and for one minute, say out loud something you appreciate about yourself. It may feel awkward but it's an empowering way to start owning your unique qualities.
Daily Strength Reminder: Set a daily reminder on your phone with a message like, "remember: your uniqueness is your superpower." It can be a small reminder to encourage you in your day.
Writing Activity: Journal on one of the following prompts:
1) What qualities make you approachable or memorable?
2) What are you naturally good at?
3) What do you Stand for?
4) What life experiences give you a unique perspective?
Strengths Visualization: Spend 5 minutes visualizing yourself using your uniqueness in a pivot moment - how does that help you?
